New officers for America’s dental assisting organisation

31 Jan 2011

New officers of the American Dental Assistants Association (ADAA) were installed at the annual conference of the ADAA, in Orlando, Florida, recently. The ADAA is America’s oldest and largest dental assisting organisation speaking for over 250,000 dental assistants since 1924.

Heading the list of officers are:

President Natalie Kaweckyj (pictured), RDARF, CDA, CDPMA, COA, COMSA, MADAA, BA, Minneapolis, MN

President-elect: Claudia Pohl, CDA, RDA, FADAA, BVEd, Alta Loma, CA

Vice President, Susan Rexroat, CDA, CDPMA, EFDA, MS, Winter Haven, FL

National secretary: Bonnie Marshall, CDA, EFDA, EFODA, MADAA, AAS, Battle Ground, WA

ADAA’s Immediate Past President is Angela M. Swatts, CDA, EFDA, Indianapolis, IN

During 2011, ADAA officers will preside over Dental Assistants Recognition Week in March and the annual national conference in Las Vegas with the American Dental Association.

The ADAA is dedicated to the development and recognition of professionalism through education, membership services and public awareness programs. It is a strong advocate for legislation mandating credentialing for clinical dental assistants and greater recognition of the assistant’s role in the professional dental team.
