A member of the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy (BSDHT) received an award for her ‘distinguished service, loyalty and mentorship’ at the fifth annual BDA Honours and Awards Dinner in London.

Ann Craddock is the first ever recipient of the award, which was presented to her in recognition of her 30 years of service with the BSDHT.

Ann joined the Society in 1980 as an administrator and for many years was the Society’s only support staff.

She has attended more than 60 BSDHT Council meetings, arranged 30 annual conferences and worked for 17 Presidents as well as the current President, Sally Simpson.

On being presented the award by Sally, Ann (pictured above, holding the award, next to Sally) said, “I am delighted and privileged to receive this award. It will be a permanent reminder of all the happy years I have spent with the Society and the many changes in dental hygiene I have seen during the past 30 years.”
