A list of the most frequently asked questions about completing your CPD.


Q. Do I have to download a complete volume or can I choose to complete individual modules?

A. No, you don’t have to download a complete volume. You can select to complete any modules you wish, including core and recommended subjects.  

 

Q. How much CPD does one module provide?

A. One module counts as 1 hour of verifiable CPD.

 

Q. How many modules are contained in one volume of CPD 4 DCP’s?

A. 10 individual modules at 1 hour per module.

 

Q. How much verifiable CPD do I need undertake, and how often should this be done?

A. Dental care professionals are required to undertake 50 hours of verifiable CPD over a 5-year cycle, ideally in groups of 10 hours per year.       

 

Q. As a dentist, can I use CPD 4 DCP’s towards my verifiable CPD requirements?

A. Yes, all the core and recommended subjects are covered. Dentists can use the 10 hours provided by each volume of CPD 4 DCP’s towards their annual requirement of 15 hours.   

 

Q. Do I have to undertake a whole CPD volume or module in one sitting, or can I log out and return to complete it later?

A. Yes, you can complete as little, or as much, as you like of any CPD module, or volume, whenever you like. Simply log on to your account and you can pick up where you left off

 

Q. Can I return to a module or a question once it has been answered correctly?

A. No, this is not possible. Once you have answered a question accurately, or completed a module, you cannot revisit the answers.

How to take your CPD
  1. Choose which Volume and/or the individual modules you wish to undertake.
  2. Carefully read and consider the contents of the study module and answer the multiple choice questions.
  3. Once you have answered the questions correctly you can download and print off your certificate indicating you have undertaken the CPD
